Paul Sherratt CPGA, Head Professional
Paul is the only Head Professional in Canada to be recognized as Head Professional of the Year in Canada…twice. He has also won Teacher of the Year for Canada and has been recognized as Merchandiser of the Year at a local level. Paul served as President of the CPGA for a two year term and was a leading contributor in developing the CPGA Education system that is in place today. Paul has served on numerous committees and boards including the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. Paul is also a member of the "invitation only" AMF Head Professional Division which is a collection of some of the who's who in golf worldwide.
Matt Robinson CPGA, Associate Professional
Matt started playing golf when he was 12 years old and was a junior member at Rideau View Golf Club. In 2007 he began the Ottawa Girls Club with Mary Jo Heyes in an effort to focus on what girls needed from the game of golf - other girl golfers to play with. The recipe being used at the Girls Club clinics, mini tournaments and camps is proving to be successful as many of the girls are playing golf on a regular basis and 9 of them joined Rideau View as junior members to start the 2009 season. Matt has been the Associate Professional at Rideau View for 15 years and was recognized as Junior Leader of the Year by the Ottawa CPGA in 2007. He was asked to join the "invitation only" AMF Golf Management Instructor division in 2009. AMF is a collection of 300 Instructors worldwide who share information. Other members of this prestigious group include David Leadbetter, Claude Harmon and Henry Brunton. Being part of this group allows Matt to continue offering leading edge coaching techniques to his students. Matt is a TPI Level 1 Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and plans to offer programs in the Fall of 2009.
Jeff Scott, CPGA, Apprentice Professional
Jeff begins his 8th year at Rideau View in 2008. He has just completed his 3rd year at Durham College where he is enrolled in the Professional Golf Management Program. Jeff is a gifted athlete at the collegiate level and brings wonderful demeanor and enthusiasm to the lesson tee.
Tim Sewter, CPGA, Apprentice Professional
Tim is in his 5th year at Rideau View. He is the Assistant Coach for the Ottawa Girls Club and is a fine player in his own right. He is a Certified Ping Clubfitter and puts his students at ease with his calm and easy going personality.
