Dress Code
Our dress code is intended to reflect the stature and style exemplified by Rideau View Country Club. Please read and become familiar with the Club's rules and regulations regarding proper dress on the course and in the clubhouse. These rules are for Members and their guests. It is important that members remind their guests about the appropriate attire at the Club. The Board of Directors have asked the Golf Shop staff, Starters and Clubhouse management to enforce the following dress code:
Gentlemen:
- Golf shirts with collars, turtleneck or mock turtleneck shirts are acceptable.
- Crew neck and T-shirts are not permitted.
- Shirtsleeves may be either short or long and shirts must be tucked in at all times.
- Slacks or tailored shorts with pockets are acceptable.
- Shorts that fall below the knee are not permitted.
- Denim of any kind, spandex shorts, sweat pants and jogging suits are not permitted.
- Socks: Full length socks without stripes and ped socks ("sockettes") are permissible when worn with shorts.
- Full length socks may not be rolled down to "sockettes".
- Golf shoes (including approved sandal and running shoe styles) must be worn on the golf course.
- No metal spikes allowed.
Ladies:
- Sleeveless shirts must have collars and shirts without collars must have sleeves.
- Tops, other than those with a tailored bottom (straight cut) must be worn tucked in.
- Those designed to be worn out must override the belt by a minimum of two inches.
- Tee shirts, halter-tops, tube tops and tank tops are not permitted.
- Tailored slacks, shorts, skirts and skorts with pockets are acceptable and shall be worn no higher than six inches above the kneecap as measured when kneeling.
- Denim of any kind, rugby pants, sweat pants, jogging pants, spandex or tights are not permitted.
- Capri pants are permissible attire.
- Socks: Full length socks (without stripes) and ped socks ("sockettes") are permissible when worn with shorts or skirts.
- Golf shoes (including approve sandal and running shoe styles) must be worn on the course.
- No metal spikes allowed.
Juniors and Students:
Must abide by the dress regulations for Ladies and Men.
