It’s a Bird-Dog

Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to remain in your Cats and Dogs pose and give the Bird Dog Arm Raise exercise a try. It’s a great way to see whether you can stabilize your pelvis while raising your arm and stretching out the lats….not unlike what occurs in the golf swing. If you cannot do this exercise (arm raise) without modifying your pelvis or arching your back it’s very likely you also modify your pelvis (stand up) during your backswing.

Give this exercise a try right after you complete the Cats and Dogs exercise.

Hey Matt: You look like you’re in agony

  2. Matt says:

Hahaha…..Staring directly into the sun for a couple of hours did leave a mark and a permanent wince ;)

Hey Matt, is this a new career in case the golf career doesn’t take off. The serious tone is good but the squinting has got to go! On a personal note, we were just in Florida for twelve days and Winston played six or seven times. It was a good break for him. Still looking forward to the May opening. Hope all is well with the family and that you had a great vacation.

  4. Matthew Robinson says:

Yes, the new career path is imitating Clint Eastwood’s squint. :) I’d like to be able to say the videos that follow will be different but….as time went on, the sun got lower…the squint becomes more defined.

I’ll be looking for volunteers at the next video shoot…..indoors….lesson learned, no squinting.

If it helped the Gator then it will help anyone.
